Drug hypersensitivity: how to move in
Adverse drug reactions (ADR) may be classified into allergic and non allergic hypersensitivity. Diagnosis is based on in vivo and in vitro tests. The endpoint is to estabilish the pathogenesis of the reaction and identify, after tolerance tests, alternative and safe drugs for the patient (fig 1).
